Metal Mayhem's Top 100 Metal Bands of All-Time, 80-76

Hello everyone,

Here is the latest edition of Metal Mayhem's Top 100 Metal Bands of All-Time. Today we are looking at numbers 80-76.

80. Destruction

Destruction is a German thrash metal band that are considered one of the "three kings" of Teutonic thrash metal along with Kreator and Sodom who were all considered to have inspired the death metal scene. They, inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate and Motörhead, were formed in 1982 as Knight of Demon, but changed their name to Destruction in 1984. Their current lineup includes Schmier on vocals and bass, Mike Sifringer on guitar, and Vaaver on drums. They play loud and fast with lots of energy. One of the best thrash metal bands from Germany.
Here is "Dissatisfied Existence."

79. In This Moment

In This Moment is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2005. What stands out about this metalcore group is their lead vocalist Maria Brink who is both a tremendous singer and screamer . . . and quite attractive too. The band is no slouch either because Chris Howorth is an extremely talented guitarist and backup singer. I have loved all four of In This Moment's album with the best being their fourth effort, Blood. This band just keeps getting better and better.
Here is "Comanche."

78. Demons & Wizards

Demons & Wizards is a power metal side-project of metal bands Blind Guardian and Iced Earth who released their first album in 1999. The band is the brainchild of Blind Guardian vocalist Hansi Kürsch and Iced Earth guitarist Jon Schaffer. The reason that I love this band is that it is a perfect blending of the dark sounds and themes of Iced Earth with the powerful vocals of Blind Guardian.
Here is "Crimson King."

77. W. A. S. P.

W. A. S. P. is a shock-metal band from Los Angeles, California in 1982 that were contemporaries of Quiet Riot, Ratt, and Mötley Crüe. During the 1980's, they were a typical target of Tipper Gore's Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) which was the emphasis of their song "Harder, Faster." While vocalist Blackie Lawless is the last remaining original band member, they are still touring and releasing albums.
Here is their most notorious song, "I Wanna Be Somebody."

76. Deicide

Deicide is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida that formed in 1987. While I'm not the biggest fan of this band, I have to acknowledge their importance as one of the best selling death metal bands of all-time. In fact, their albums Deicide and Legion are the second and third best selling albums from a death metal band. They are noted for their anti-Christian lyrics which have made them highly controversial.
Here is " Dead by Dawn."
